Club rules

Clear guidelines for practising together in good conditions. These rules apply to all members, visitors and instructors at the Cercle.

Registration and memberships

Article 1 — Purpose

These rules define how Cercle Tissier operates, its safety and conduct requirements, and the main registration and membership conditions.

Article 2 — Membership and registration

  • To attend classes, every participant must be registered and have paid the fee for their chosen membership.
  • Minors must be registered by a legal representative.
  • Each member must comply with their activity’s licence and affiliation requirements.
  • Registration implies acceptance of these rules, made available before commitment, at reception and on the website.

Article 3 — Membership duration and payments

  • Prices, duration and payment arrangements are specified at registration and may vary by activity.
  • Some options require a 12-month commitment from the date of subscription; others cover the sporting season.
  • When the annual fee is paid monthly, these payments are instalments of the annual fee, not a commitment-free monthly membership.
  • Absence from classes or voluntarily stopping practice does not automatically suspend payments.

Article 4 — Renewal and cancellation

  • Automatic renewal applies only to memberships for which it is stated at registration.
  • Members concerned receive renewal and non-renewal information under the conditions required by law.
  • Cancellation requests may be sent to contact@cercletissier.com, without prejudice to other legally available cancellation methods.
  • Simply stopping attendance does not constitute cancellation.

Article 5 — Health issues and suspension

  • If a temporary medical contraindication prevents practice of the activity, members may request a suspension by writing to us as soon as possible, with a medical certificate specifying the duration where possible. No diagnosis is requested.
  • During an approved suspension, direct debits are paused. They resume when the suspension ends, and the commitment end date is extended by the same period. Arrangements are confirmed in writing.
  • A certificate provided after the relevant period does not automatically entitle the member to a retrospective refund. The request is assessed in light of supporting documents, circumstances and the member’s rights.
  • If continuing practice becomes impossible in the long term or permanently, early cancellation may be requested in accordance with applicable rights.

Article 6 — Refunds

  • Voluntarily stopping or missing classes does not automatically entitle a member to a refund.
  • Individual requests are considered case by case. The Cercle may offer a partial refund, credit or deferral as a goodwill gesture.
  • These goodwill gestures do not limit statutory refund or cancellation rights.
Life at the Cercle

Article 7 — Timetables

  • Timetables are available at reception and on the website. Changes are announced whenever possible.
  • Participants and teachers are asked to respect timetables to avoid disrupting classes.
  • The schedule may be adapted for school holidays, public holidays, events or organisational needs.

Article 8 — Access to facilities

  • Access to classes and facilities is reserved for the relevant members and authorised visitors.
  • Being on the premises outside class hours requires the Cercle’s permission.
  • Bicycles are not allowed inside. Scooters must be left in designated areas.

Article 9 — Clothing and equipment

  • Appropriate clothing is required for the activity (gi for the relevant disciplines, dancewear or sportswear depending on the class).
  • Each participant is responsible for their equipment and personal belongings.

Article 10 — Respect for the premises

  • Facilities and equipment must be used carefully and put away after use.
  • Deliberate damage may lead to a request for compensation and an appropriate disciplinary measure.

Article 11 — Hygiene and safety

  • Participants must be fit to take part in the activity and inform the teacher of any injury or difficulty affecting their safety.
  • Showering before and after training, clean clothing, trimmed nails and appropriate footwear for the mats: activity-specific hygiene instructions must be followed.
  • Walking barefoot in communal areas is prohibited.
  • Dangerous behaviour and failure to follow safety instructions are prohibited.
  • The premises are smoke-free, including the immediate surroundings covered by applicable rules.

Article 12 — Conduct

  • Respect, courtesy and kindness are expected towards other members, teachers and staff.
  • Violence, harassment and discrimination are prohibited.
  • Please respect the quiet atmosphere of shared spaces.

Article 13 — Responsibility and disciplinary measures

  • Members must follow teachers’ instructions and safety rules. Each person’s responsibilities are assessed under applicable law.
  • In the event of serious or repeated breaches, the Cercle may take an appropriate measure after allowing the person concerned to present their observations, in accordance with the rules applicable to the association.
  • Any financial consequences of suspension or exclusion are handled in accordance with the contract and the law.

Article 14 — Questions, complaints and changes to the rules

  • For questions, suspension or cancellation requests, or complaints: contact@cercletissier.com.
  • Changes to the rules are announced to members. They do not retrospectively change contractual conditions already accepted, except where permitted by law.
  • Details of the competent consumer mediator and additional legal information are provided by the Cercle where applicable.

Remember: if a difficulty arises, contact us promptly. A written request allows us to assess the situation and confirm decisions about your membership.
